Reshape Ecosystems, Reimagine Organizations, Reinvent Performance Management

The world is changing quickly and dramatically. Organizations constantly need to adapt. People feel confused and exhausted and need a superior sense of meaning to get inspired and energized.

Think about some trends that are happening today:

They have an impact on ecosystems in which organizations operate. Many years ago focus was only on the organization itself. With the passing of the years, we added customers, suppliers, regulators, competitors as well as society and our shared world. Today we need to focus also on some unexpected additional players. The two words that most aptly describe the current evolutionary stage, are complexity and speed.

As ecosystems evolve, so must organizations. Once Hierarchical, then Lean, Flat and Remote. Now we work and live in Cyber Physical Systems, trying to explore new forms of Cooperation and Coopetition. The two key words for this evolution, are simplicity and adaptability.

In this world, are Traditional Performance Improvement Methods, Tools and Practices still effective? What works and what doesn’t? Only a very few organizations have the ability to set the scene for themselves. All the rest must learn the reality of the environment and adapt to it.

Under these conditions, an outside-in approach looks to be unavoidable.

The main focus of the conference is on how external macro-factors (like globalization, financialization, digitalization, etc.) have an impact on an organization’s performance and how organizations can take them into account in planning performance improvement interventions.

If you are a practitioner, a consultant, an academic, we would like to engage you in a dialogue on the future of Performance Improvement in the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors, and invite you to share your insight on the topics of the conference:
